Overview: Cryptocoryne Parva is also called Dwarf Water Trumpet and is the smallest crypt that you can use in your aquarium. The tissue cultured plant is free from infestation and perfect for indoor cultivation. It is originated in Sri Lanka and is one of the exotic plants that aquarists prefer in their tanks. The plant does not show changes in the color of the leaves with the change in water parameters. To get its true colors, it is essential to provide sufficient light to the plant. It requires more light than other crypts. It can be used either as a foreground or small bushes to have a beautiful aquascape.

Appearance: There are multiple advantages of using tissue cultured plant in an aquarium. The foremost advantage is keeping your tank free from pest infestation. The water quality remains unadulterated, which ensures other plants and fish will not come in contact with any harmful bacteria or microbe. Introduction of tissue cultured Cryptocoryne Parva makes sure that you are providing a safe and risk-free environment to the aquatic life.

Care: Make sure you have removed the entire tissue culture gel from the plant before introducing it to the tank. Either clean the gel with the help of water thoroughly or remove it from the hands. Cryptocoryne Parva is an undemanding plant and can thrive well without any special care. Keep the desired density of the plants by regular trimming.

Light Requirements: Cryptocoryne Parva requires an apt amount of light for proper growth and development. Other than light, a reasonable amount of nutrients and carbon dioxide will also act as a catalyst in the growth. With the right light requirements, it shows a fast growth pattern.

pH Requirements: The plant can thrive well under the pH requirements ranging between 5.0-8.0.

Other Requirements: Although the basic requirement of the plant is medium-light, with the right dose of nutrients like potassium and calcium, it shows a lush growth. Moreover, the pH and temperature should also not exceed the set limit.

Propagation: Being a slow grower, it is recommended to plant Cryptocoryne Parva with small spacing as it takes time to spread like a carpet on the tank’s surface.
