Overview: If we name some of the popular aquarium plants, Rotala Rotundifolia holds a place. There are many types of Rotala Rotundifolia, and they are differentiated based on color and leaf shape. It is a fast-growing, easy-to-care plant that is ideal for growing as a mid-ground or background plant. It is undemanding, tolerant to wide water parameters, and therefore suitable for beginners.

You can grow Rotala Rotundifolia Pink on land, submerged in water, or simply immersed in water. Since the growth rate of this plant is high (it grows 1 inch per week), regular trimming is essential to keep it from overspreading and shadowing other plants. Also, it will help keep plants in the right shape.

Appearance: As the name suggests, Rotala Rotundifolia ‘Pink’ is a beautiful pink-colored plant with long stems and vertical leaves shooting up from the sides of the stem. Under proper conditions, the plant can attain a height of 6 inches; therefore, once you have it in the tank, be prepared to trim it regularly.

Hard/Soft Plant: Rotala Rotundifolia is considered a hardy plant because it can grow in a wide range of water parameters and lighting; however, providing it with optimal care will reward you with a more brightly colored, denser plant.

Ideal water temperature: 17 to 28 degree Celsius is the optimal temperature range for the growth and development of Rotala Rotundifolia ‘Pink’.

Lightening conditions: Rotala Rotundifolia ‘Pink’ is one of those plants that love a lot of light. Eight hours of light per day is the minimum lighting requirement of this plant. You can use.5 to 5 watts of power per gallon of water to help attain it.

It can also survive in low light conditions, but in that case, you won’t be able to see the true potential of Rotala. Also, the signature color will not develop under low light levels.

Ideal pH level: 4 to 8 is the suitable water pH for Rotala Rotundifolia ‘Pink’. This wider pH range makes it easier to add Rotala Rotundifolia to your aquarium with a wider variety of fish.

Propagation: Propagating Rotala is easy; you only need to trim the leaves from the stem and plant them on the aquarium substrate. Monitor the plant and ensure that everything is going right. Over time, the cutting develops roots and can be grown wherever required.

Other requirements: Although Rotala grows well without additional carbon dioxide, you may see more vibrant and fuller growth if you supply it.

Do you know: If you are looking for Rotala Rotundifolia to have ‘Pink’ color, make sure you have the right plant. Since there are many species of Rotala in varying colors, the right plant will only help. Also, keep the light parameters as mentioned to obtain the perfect pink coloration.

Before introducing Rotala Rotundifolia ‘Pink’ - Tissue Culture Aquarium Plant to the tank, clean the plant to get rid of the tissue culture gel. It can be removed by cleaning the plant with water by simply removing the gel with hands. Plant them a few centimeters apart and keep trimming once they start spreading for the best results.
