Overview: Native to Brazil, Polygonum sp. ''Sao Paulo'' is a beautiful aquarium plant. It belongs to the Polygonaceae family and is well-known for its beauty. With a moderate growth rate and requirements, it could be a good addition to the tank handled by experts. It is not recommended for beginners due to some of its specific water requirements. You need to be aware of avoiding making drastic changes to the tank as Polygonum sp. ''Sao Paulo'' is prone to melting and rotting. 

Appearance: Some aquarium plants are popular for their intense and bold colors, and Polygonum sp. ''Sao Paulo'' is one of them. It is one of the intense colors aquarium plants and would be the right choice for people looking for bold-colored plants for their tank. 

Under optimum conditions, the plant takes a height of 2-3 inches and grows profusely, proudly flaunting its stunning color. The leaves are long and tapered with flashy pink-purple color outside and green underside. The stems are thin and grow moderately. Since it requires specific water parameters, it is not recommended for novice aquarists.
